Welcome to the Golden Eagle class page. Here you will find information about what we will be learning each term, useful documents  and educational games. In years 5 and 6, the teachers are Mr Price and Miss Brown and the teaching assistants are Mrs Griffiths and Mrs Gray.

Term 2

We are really looking forward to learning about the lives of children during World War II. For our hook day, we will be experiencing what an evacuation was like, tasting foods from the time, singing popular songs and experiencing what it was like to be in an air raid shelter. Please remember that we would like the children to dress up as an evacuee for the day on Tuesday 5th November.

We hope to have another exciting term and would encourage the children to make a good start on their jigsaw homework over the holidays!

Term 1

Year 5 and 6 have made a really good start to the year and have settled into their classes well.

This term we have been learning about Mexico. We now know all about the Day of the Dead, Mayan civilisation and popular Mexican food. We have been very creative in Art this term and we have made mixed media collages, clay skulls and self portraits in the style of Frida Kahlo. The children enjoyed our wonderful hook day and they also enjoyed making smoothies!
